Our commitment to sustainability

NAIT is committed to environmental and social sustainability. We bring sustainability practices to our campuses, operations and programming. We support each other as we adapt to ever-changing realities because we know our individual and collective actions make a difference.

Sustainability guiding principles

  • Build towards a sustainable and modern “one campus+” model
  • Drive responsible financial planning to meet in-year objectives and future investments in learners, staff, technology and capital renewal
  • Evolve sustainable program mix while diversifying and growing our enrolment base
  • Integrate Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) into NAIT’s decision-making and operations

Greenhouse gas emissions

Net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, increasing from our current objective of 30% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2025 from our 2009 baseline
