International Peer Mentor Program
Students who are new to studying in Canada can signup as mentees and join the International Peer Groups to meet other peers. The groups are led by International Peer Mentors who are senior students at NAIT. The mentors will share their NAIT and Edmonton experience with mentees and provide support for their cultural transition.
Did you know the International Centre has a registered mental health counsellor embedded to support students in their transition to NAIT? From general support to specific difficulties, we offer a safe, supportive environment where you can get the help you need. To support the COVID-19 response, appointments are online or by phone until further notice.
To request help for personal or mental health concerns, please email email@example.com and mention you are an international student.
Our designated Immigration Consultants host virtual workshops that cover many topics — studying, working as an international student, and pathways to permanent residency. You will learn more about Study Permits, Visas and various Work Permits.

NAIT offers mentorship, guidance, and the chance to ask questions of our nine faith leaders from a variety of denominations, regardless of one's own religious commitment. Students are welcome to inquire about off-campus opportunities but chaplains will not attempt to recruit or convert you. LGBTQ2+ inquiries welcome.
