Pitch it to me’: Student businesses shine at annual Mawji Centre competition

The Mawji Centre hosted their annual pitch competition on November 29 and the pockets of three more student businesses are feeling heavy. In the top spot this year was Chris Small with "Faculty of Skin", second place goes to Mehrab Shikder with "Wire Financial", and third place goes to Tora Matys with "EZNOIZE".

Mikayla Balfour's inspiration for her apparel company, Nexarina, started by identifying a gap in the women’s clothing market. Balfour thought of activities she was passionate about and how the clothing designs currently available don’t measure up.
