The Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST) program provides you with the foundational skills to be a safety technician. Starting with the core fundamentals of safety and hazard identification, assessment, and control, you'll learn to identify components of a Safety Management System, describe the legal obligations of Canadian employers, and identify and assess workplace hazards and controls.
As you progress through the program, you'll develop your skills in other areas such as inspections, investigations, and fire safety. You'll also learn about OHS management, safety audits, risk management, OHS law and legislation, safety ethics, health and wellness, and ergonomics.
With flexible online course delivery and support from industry experts and practicing Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (CRSP), you can get your training finished in a way that suits your schedule and needs.
The Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) recognizes that the NAIT CRST program meets the formal education requirements for individuals seeking certification as a Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST).
