Course Overview

Project managers are focused on organizing resources and leading teams to complete projects that contribute value to internal and external stakeholders. Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to apply productivity improvement principles to enhance project effectiveness and efficiency.

Effective project managers constantly reflect on project results to identify opportunities for process improvements that contribute to greater organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Graduates of this course will be able to apply tools, techniques, and strategies to make your projects and project teams more effective and efficient. After completing this course, you will be able to describe the importance of continuous improvement in creating client satisfaction and increasing organizational success in the global marketplace. You will be able to identify barriers to productivity within projects, describe how to build cooperative relationships that foster productivity, and how to deal with difficult people and provide productive feedback to team members when challenges arise. Finally, you will develop and apply process flowcharts and related tools to identify the cause of project challenges and plan for adjustment and improvement.

  • Remote Independent: Where: Online anytime. When: No set class meetings. Coursework is accessed on-demand and online, with no instructor support. While students choose when to do coursework, there may be set due dates and deadlines.
