Course Overview

Performance Testing is an important part of the software lifecycle and unlike other testing efforts it must be executed with software testing tools. This course explains how to define performance tests, how to execute them, and how to analyze them. The course is tool-agnostic and therefore concepts learned here can be applied to a variety of commercial and open source performance test tools. This foundation course is designed to teach participants the essentials of performance testing techniques and how to effectively develop execution scenarios. We suggest that attendees attended the ISTQB Foundation Level course, especially if they intend to take the ISTQB Performance Testing exam, but non-certificate holders can also benefit from this course.   • Remote On-Demand Delivery: Where: Online anytime. When: No set class meetings. Coursework is accessed on-demand and online. While there are no set class meetings, there may be set due dates and deadlines for some activities. Students may interact with peers through virtual tools.
  • Remote Independent: Where: Online anytime. When: No set class meetings. Coursework is accessed on-demand and online, with no instructor support. While students choose when to do coursework, there may be set due dates and deadlines. 
  • Work Placement: Where: In-person meetings. When: Work is scheduled at a specific time for students to attend. Onsite work integrated learning. Location at a worksite.
