Pulp and Paper Technicians are important players in the production of pulp, paper and related products. Technicians contribute to productivity, safety and reliable operations, generally working within a team environment.
NAIT's Pulp and Paper Technician Certificate provides the technical knowledge, practical skills and understanding to advance your career in the industry.
In this program, you will gain sound theoretical knowledge of mill processes and related operations as well as the interdependence of the individual mill processes. Whether you are new to the industry or already working in pulp and paper processing or related fields, our program has plenty to offer.
These are correspondence courses. You will have 9 months from the course start date to complete your paper-based course materials and will then be required to write a supervised, paper-based final exam.
Once you successfully complete all 3 required courses with a minimum grade of 73%, you will be eligible to receive a Certificate of Achievement from NAIT.
It is recommended that you register for courses at least 2 weeks prior to the start date to ensure timely delivery of printed course materials. However, course registrations will be accepted up until the day prior to the start of class.
