This full-time certificate program is designed exclusively for working professionals seeking to enhance their skills and knowledge in cybersecurity, or for employers interested in upskilling their staff.

Gain Practical Experience with On-the-job Training 

The program provides an immersive learning experience by combining in-class instruction with on-the-job training. A minimum of 51% of learning (often more) will take place in the workplace, requiring students to participate in hours consistent with full-time programming.

You can expect to learn a range of essential skills and knowledge needed to protect information systems and networks from cyber threats, including:

• Cybersecurity Fundamentals: Learn about the basics of cybersecurity, including the various types of cyber threats and the principles of information security and risk management.
• Network Security: Learn about securing computer networks, including topics such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention, VPNs and secure network architecture.
• Cryptography: Study encryption techniques and algorithms used to secure data, including symmetric and asymmetric cryptography, digital signatures and public key infrastructure.
• Cyber Risk Management: Learn about assessing and managing risk in the context of cybersecurity, including topics such as threat modeling, risk analysis and incident response planning.
• Cybersecurity Governance: Study the legal and regulatory framework surrounding cybersecurity, including privacy laws, data protection regulations and compliance requirements.
• Emerging Technologies: Explore emerging technologies and their implications for cybersecurity, including topics such as cloud security, mobile device security and the Internet of Things (IoT).
