Preparing students for Canadian academic success

Are you new to studying in Canada? Take part in NAIT’s International Student KICKSTART program to build confidence, connect with other students, and ensure you are ready to start your academic journey at NAIT.

New students from different countries and educational backgrounds may encounter barriers and challenges to their success when studying at a Canadian educational institution. The one-day International Student KICKSTART program aims to ease international and newcomer students’ academic and cultural adjustment.

Please note that this program is not the same program as the NAIT Student Orientation.

Who is the program for?

Why participate in the program?

  • Make new friends
  • Learn about NAIT Classroom expectations and essential academic and job search skills
  • Develop your intercultural awareness

Program details

International Student KICKSTART will take place again before the start of the Fall semester. Please check back in June for more details.

Please email intercultural@nait.ca if you have further questions about the International Student KICKSTART program.
