Drones are an innovative small remotely piloted aircraft system (sRPAS) that allow you to explore your surrounds using aerial photography and videography. You will learn to operate and practice flying a drone under the guidance of a certified instructor to learn the basics. The Advanced sRPAS Regulation Training builds on the foundations for more specialized purposes such as conducting mapping and surveying for professional or commercial purposes.
NAIT's sRPAS Training will provide students with the knowledge to:
• Operate a drone safely and responsibly
• Learn air law, air traffic rules and best practices
• Identify weather conditions to inform flight planning
NAIT is pleased to offer this certificate in partnership with Aboriginal Training Services Ltd. A Drone Training Certificate of Completion will be awarded upon the completion of the CCTD166 – Advanced RPAS Regulation Exam Preparation and prepares you for Transport Canada's pilot license exam.
