Course Overview

As an oil and gas process operator you should be able to identify risks, and determine required materials, equipment, and processes required to produce a quality product from wellbore to point of sale.The graduate of this course will have the knowledge to work within the upstream oil and gas trade using industry recommended safety practices.

Skills obtained from this course will allow you to explain equipment and operation processes for pipeline and surface facilities, and describe how to troubleshoot equipment issues to optimize oil and gas processes using current and emerging technologies. Oil and gas process operators are often hands-on individuals who enjoy a lifestyle that is anything but 9-to-5, in rural or remote environment, and is current in technology and safety advancements. As a safety conscious self-starter, the graduate of this course will thrive on responsibility and independence within the context of a larger team environment.
