Course Overview

Supervisors represent an important force in every organization. Whether you are new to the supervisory role or have prior experience, this course will give you the skills in communication, coaching, and conflict that you need to be an effective supervisor.

Supervisors have the power to turn on or turn off the productivity of the people who report to them and are the crucial interface between the employees and the management of the organization. Although you have more technical experience than the employees you supervise, as a supervisor, you may not have the leadership knowledge or experience necessary to be successful.

In this course, you will prioritize and plan work for your staff, manage time, identify your primary leadership style, develop the flexibility to use other leadership styles, make conflict a powerful force for creative and well-rounded solutions to problems, and meet the needs of employees and co-workers through communication and coaching. Whether you are new to the supervisory role or have prior experience, this course will give you the skills in communication, coaching, and conflict that you need to be successful.
