Course Overview

AutoCAD is computer-aided design (CAD) software that architects, engineers, construction professionals and others rely on to create precise 2D and 3D drawings. Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to demonstrate 2D drafting and 3D modelling skills in AutoCAD, essential skills required across all design disciplines.

AutoCAD allows you to group or layer objects; keep objects in a database for future use; and manipulate properties of objects such as size, shape, and location. Graduates of this course will be able to demonstrate fundamental skills of AutoCAD and describe the AutoCAD interface, drafting tools, setup, visual display commands, 2D geometry, object properties, hatching, annotation, and computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) construction techniques. You will also be able to develop geometry creation and modification skills as used in AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT drawing production.
