NAIT welcomes new member to board of governors

EDMONTON – NAIT is pleased to welcome alumnus Andy Neigel to the polytechnic’s board of governors. Neigel was appointed for a three-year term by the Ministry of Advanced Education.

Neigel is a graduate of NAIT’s Forestry Technology program and holds a bachelor of science in forestry. His career in the forest industry spanned more than 25 years in Alberta and British Columbia, most recently in executive leadership. He is currently president and CEO of CAREERS: The Next Generation Foundation, which helps young people explore new careers that are in demand now and in the future. He has served on numerous boards and committees, including NAIT’s President Advisory Group, Alberta Advanced Education’s Skills for Jobs Task Force, the Alberta Energy Regulator, Athabasca University and the Forest Resource Improvement Association of Alberta.

NAIT would also like to thank outgoing board member and alumnus Daryl Kruper for his dedication and service. Kruper’s second three-year term expires on June 7.
