EDMONTON – NAIT’s fifth annual Pride Week starts Monday with a colourful, high-energy walk through campus followed by an entertaining drag show in the Centre for Applied Technology.

NAIT’s President and CEO Dr. Glenn Feltham will be on hand, along with Edmonton Centre MP Randy Boissonnault, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister on LGBTQ2 Issues.

Organized by NAIT, the Pride at NAIT student club and the NAIT Student Association, Pride Week events celebrate the polytechnic’s diverse student and staff population.

Other Pride Week activities include a Pride community fair on Tuesday and a fitness session on Thursday with QUEERFLEX, Canada’s first non-profit, queer-centred gym.

Throughout the week, room 182 in the Centre for Applied Technology will be a dedicated safe space for activities, staffed by volunteers who have taken NAIT’s Safe Spaces training and members of the Pride student club.
