The Study Direct Stream provides eligible students from the Philippines with a permit to study in Canada within 30 days.

EDMONTON – NAIT has joined the launch of the Study Direct Stream pilot program, a partnership between Colleges and Institutes Canada and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, announced last week in Manila.

The new program streamlines the Canadian visa application process for qualified international students from the Philippines, provided they meet the financial and English language proficiency requirements. Instead of the current wait of approximately six weeks or longer, the SDS program ensures processing within 30 day.

NAIT International director Terri Flanagan attended the program launch June 17 in Manila, along with Leroy Russell, chair of NAIT’s Hospitality Management program.
