Baking Team Canada prepares for world's top baking competition

World Cup of Baking runs Feb 5-9 in Paris; NAIT instructors and alumni make up two-thirds of team

Members of Baking Team Canada are finalizing their secret recipes in preparation for the prestigious World Cup of Baking (or Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie), which begins Feb. 5 in Paris, France. Three of the team’s six members are NAIT instructors, while a fourth is a recent graduate of the polytechnic’s Baking program. The team’s other members come from Toronto and Montreal.

This is the first time in 16 years Canada has qualified for the World Cup of Baking.

Team members will be available to speak to media about the competition and the intense training they have gone through to prepare for this event. There will be photo ops of team members in the kitchen and interacting with students.
