Gifts in Kind

How it works

By giving a gift in kind, you’re helping us enhance the learning environment for our students with the best tools and materials in industry. Your donation of property or assets help students access experiences and technology that prepare them for the fast-paced realities of their future careers.

From cranes and forklifts to computer software and rubber gloves, these types of non-cash donations vary widely and help NAIT reduce the cost of purchasing equipment, tools or supplies.

The following gifts may require special consideration and consultation with NAIT before items are donated:

  • Real estate
  • Special equipment
  • Heavy machinery and utility vehicles
  • Computer software

Making your donation

When we receive a gift, our qualified appraiser will assess the value of the donation so we may issue a business receipt for tangible goods. We truly appreciate all gifts offered, but only contributions that support current academic priorities will be accepted.

Heavy Equipment Program

As a polytechnic, our programs are hands on and technology based. Donations of up-to-date, cutting-edge equipment are incredibly important to the way our students learn.
